A customer of ours recommended us to their niece’s soon to be fiancé. An heirloom diamond was handed down from her grandmother’s sister. The diamond is a pear shape, & he wanted to mount it in a platinum solitaire style mounting. In order to have the mounting fit this diamond, & it had to be a finger size 3 1/4, we made it using the CAD  (Computer Assisted Design ). This way it will be made in all one piece & we didn’t have to start with any ring sizings. This is the CAD image of the mounting before it was casted. I was able to send him these images in an e-mail for his approval. Also, any necessary changes could be made at this time.
