ABOVE: These CAD cushion cut halo rendering images above is how this ring was made. As you can see it also has a matching eternity wedding band which has diamonds going all around, and diamonds set on the the front and back of the band. You can see that in the 4th image. The wedding band has not yet been completed. It is being set and polished now.
BELOW: Cushion cut halo diamond engagement ring is in platinum. The center cushion shape diamond is graded form the GIA ( Gemological Institute of America ). One of the most reputable and reliable gem grading labs. The cushion shape is 1.35cts. It has G color, SI1 clarity and is proportioned very well.
Surrounding the center diamond in a cushion shape halo are 14 round diamonds, which you can see in the first picture. The second picture shows the diamonds going down the shank, 10 round diamonds on each side. The third picture shows the 26 round diamonds that are set on the outside border of the halo. You can also see the beautiful design in the under besel. All of the smaller diamonds are set with common prongs. These 60 diamonds total 1.22cts. These also match the color and clarity of the center cushion shape.
This design was made on the CAD ( Computer Aided Design ). We first showed the image to the customer in an e-mail. Once she said to go ahead we proceeded to make the wax, have it casted, finish off the casting, have the diamonds set, then polish and rhodium.
